The Lagoon Valley Classic was a cross country event that took place at Pena Adobe from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 3rd. Several different high schools and middle schools from all over attended this invitational event for some friendly competition. Our cheerleaders, dirt dogs, and drumline were also at this fun classic.
Vaca High's cross country team ,who was present at this event, had a great competition. Senior Jacob Windham said: “It was a great race. The Varsity boys were competitive as well as the girls. Many PR’s were set and it was a great opening race to a very hopeful season.” Sophomore Jaxin Woodward stated “The Lagoon Valley Classic was a very super fun day. It went very smoothly and everyone was giving compliments of how organized it was. Everyone ran fast and there were even some personal best times. With it being my second year doing it, the hills were not as bad. It was one of my favorite cross country meets and I look forward to doing it again next year.”
