The Vacaville High School Drill Team has been whipped back into shape in order to perfect their kicks, splits, and ripples for the new year and all the football games to come. A fellow Drill Teamer Arianna Garcia exclaimed that she was “Super excited, because we are going to look hecka bomb and hecka cute in our uniforms.” It was easy to tell that Arianna is pumped for our upcoming football games and the routines she has to show us. Another teammate of the Vaca High Drill Team, Tori Hines, commented that she was “Ready for senior year, to have fun with my team, and to leave everything out on the field.” I know, that I am super pumped to get back into the swing of practices and bonding with all the girls on the team. She also stated that she was, “... excited to carry on the traditions that Drill Team has left us throughout the years.” Aside from the girls on the team, the coaches are just as thrilled. Coach Laura Coffman noted that she was “Ready for the excitement of the games, the energy of the fans, the new ideas from leadership for our new routines.” She also brought up the topic of how Junior Varsity will grow, and that she was “Looking forward to the Varsity squad wowing the crowd with their kicks and tricks! It is so great to be able to be a part of the spirit of Vaca High.”
I suggest that if you are coming to our football games, you better bring your and your black and orange. Here at Vaca High, we stand up for the kickoff!
