The third league basketball game took off in Vacaville as all two teams, JV and Varsity,  got a win against the Vintage Crushers. League hasn’t been going good for the JV starting 0-2 losing to Armijo and Napa but, maybe a turning for them. JV came out dominating, in the first few minutes, they had a 15-2 run and the crushers had no choice but to call a timeout. Bulldogs finished the quarter dominating with the score of 26-10. They didn’t stop there though, they came back in the second quarter playing really good defense, holding the Crushers to only 9 points in that quarter to the Bulldogs 15 points leading at the break 41-19. The crushers still had some heart in them coming out in the second half dominating, cutting the lead down to 11 at the end of the 3rd quarter. Crushers kept pushing at the beginning of the fourth quarter cutting the lead down to 8, leaving the Bulldogs to force a timeout.
Coming back out, Bulldogs matched every shot the Crushers made so for 2 minutes in the game the lead for the Bulldogs kept going from 6 to 8. Until Austin Moore (9), threw a pass to Myron Amey (9), and finished the shot by making an And- One (which is when you get fouled and score, you get an extra free throw after). It gave the Bulldogs a lot of momentum down the stretch. Later, when the Bulldogs came down Brandon Over, Sophomore, shot a layup but missed then Tyler Knight snathed the rebound and put it up for another Bulldog And-One, which kind of put the game away. But there was still 2 minutes left and the Bulldogs weren’t done. Getting steals and hitting shots, skyrocketed the lead up to 13 which made the final score 62-75. Top scorers were Myron Amey (9) with 25, Zach Page (10) with 16 and added 3 rebounds, Tyler Knight (10) with 13 points. Jalen Ware (10) and Jesse White(10) each saw production as well with Ware adding 8 points and two rebounds and White scoring 5 of his own. Bulldogs are now 1-2 in league and finding a way to spark the plug to dominate the rest of the games. Varsity Bulldogs is the team to watch in the League starting out 2-0 Armijo and Napa.
Varsity had quite a close one themselves but pulled away with it in the last quarter. Not playing their best basketball, Bulldogs found a way to only keep the deficit by 2 at the end of the first quarter. Then in the second quarter they came out better. The defense held up way better holding the Crushers to 10 points to there 13 taking the lead by one at the half. They came out in the third playing Bulldog basketball. Defense again held the Crushers to 10 points but the offense stepped up scoring 17 points taking the lead up by 8 by the beginning of the 4th quarter. Bulldogs kept their momentum in the fourth, but the Crushers made a little comeback. The Bulldogs came right back to end the quarter with 20 points added to their 42. The final score was 62-51 Bulldogs and now makes them 3-0 in league and on a 3 game win streak. The top scorers were Luke Kutz (12) with 13 points,  Jonathan Tubbs (11) with 11 points, Jordan Adams (11) with 10 points, and Marcus Tillman (12) with 7 points. And everyone else saw production as well scoring a few points.
