A Well-known police officer named Michael Stone of the Austin Texas police department was suspended for breaking into another officer's house, then lying about it. Stone was dating a fellow officer out of Kyle who broke up with him in July 2016. In the following days of the break up, Stone tried to reach his ex who didn’t respond to his texts. Stone reached out to another officer, then the officer forwarded a picture of his ex girlfriend with another man posted on Facebook. Later, he then went to her house and knocked on the door. When she didn’t answer, he then proceeded to knock the door down and had a verbal altercation.
Stone stated that he was worried for her but through deleted messages investigators determined that Stone was not telling the truth after he broke the door and paid $200 dollars. Stone was texting a close friend according to the police chief he said, “ I could care less about the Apd.” (Austin Police Department ). Stone has been with APD for 6 years, yet accepted no responsibility for his actions. Stone returned to his ex’s house in August.  He was talking to his neighbor about a vehicle collision, however the neighbor called 911 to report him in his ex’s backyard authorities are not exactly sure why Stone was in the backyard maybe to stalk or break into another house. In conclusion, Stone was fired, so he can’t do cause any harm again.
