Vaca High’s construction project, a part of Measure A, has already brought vast improvements to our campus since it started at the end of the 2015-16 school year. The new Vaca High tennis courts were finished on October 7th and was officially opened as the Cammisa Courts. Many students are happy with the bigger parking lot. Sophomore Tanner Connolly stated, “ The construction is inconvenient at times, but the outcome is always good. The new renovations will be a sight to see!” The parking lot for teachers on the far side of the school is also finished. The back of the school still needs a lot of work, and is set to be finished by Spring Break. It is supposed to be one huge building for all of the English classes. Everything is being pieced together like a big school sized puzzle. It’s nice to finally see some renovations to the school, and have the positive things about it reflected on the outside as well as the inside.
The new tennis courts look spectacular. Since the courts were moved, room was made for a nice large parking lot that many of the students are excited about. The backside of the school may be currently inconvenient, but the building behind the school will be completed by Spring Break and will look incredible.
