In 2015 Toby Fox came out with a sensational game called Undertale. The gameplay is an RPG/Bullet-Dodge game. Undertale is a game set in a world where humans and monsters were plagued by war. Years later, your character falls into a mountain. You meet a flower named Flowey who tells you, “In this world it's kill or be killed”, and attempts to kill you. Luckily, you are saved by a goat woman named Torial, who brings you to her house, hidden among ruins.
Undertale has two ways to play - to save, or slay. The genocide goal is to get as much love (level of violence ) as possible. In combat you are a heart, dodging the enemy’s attacks, you get a few options for enemies. You can fight or spare. In the ruins you wonder around and kill the monsters you find. Eventually you find a way to get out of the ruins, but first YOU MUST KILL Torial who is blocking your way. After you kill a monster, they turn into dust and you gain experience. Out of the ruins you meet Papyrus and Sans. Papyrus is your first real boss so you MUST KILL HIM. After him, you come across Undine who you kill in one hit, but she refuse to die and she becomes UNDINE THE UNDYING. After her death, you eventually fight Sans who is the hardest boss but the easiest enemy.
At the end, you come across Chara who gives you a choice to reset the world or not. The best part of the boss fight (difficult enemy)is them changing the laws of the game by changing the color in your heart (hearts are your character’s soul and it allows you to dodge attacks). The red heart allows you to move freely, blue makes gravity take a toll, green allows you to block attacks, and yellow lets you shoot. The best game changer is called “Karma”, a poison effect that damages you without using the enemy’s turn. Overall the genocide path is the evil side of Undertale and everything has consequences.
