By Erika Merraro, Staff Writer

Moving here sophomore year from Colorado, Darrin Roberts did not know what was expected or what to expect from Vacaville high school. Now a senior, Darrin couldn’t be happier and has more than exceeded Vaca High’s expectations.
With a full schedule this year Darrin is very busy, but somehow still manages to make room for friends, movies and don’t forget all those extra clubs that he is involved in. His impressive schedule consists of AP physics, AP English, French 5, Student council, yearbook and calculus (this being his hardest class). Not to mention he is top of his class with a G.P.A of 4.53 and is currently in the running for valedictorian. With such a hard schedule, most would think it would be impossible to do anything else, not Darrin. In addition to his tough schedule, he also participates in many clubs such as: CSF, interact club, S club, French club, yearbook, and school board liaison. By the looks of things, Darrin has a bright future ahead of him. He plans on attending Harvard University and majoring in communication, broadcasting, and political science.
Darrin is off to a good start this year as a senior. Although he is very excited that this is his last year, he doesn’t want it to end. He will miss all the crazy times at dances performing thriller, fond memories with friends, and his great experience in student council with all the unity and acceptance. “I love it here and I know I will come back to visit all the time,” Darrin stated with a chuckle. He has a lot to look forward to and will always remember his great achievements at Vaca High. Darrin is off to a great start and will go far with his great goals.
